Overcast morning, but not as dismal as the photo makes it
look
Twelve of us today
Including John in festive mood
And Dick who joined us for the first time
We had to cancel this walk last week due to heavy rain
So we were
pleased to be able to fit it in before the Christmas break
We started with jackets but soon removed the top
layer
It was nice to see Barry and Linda on a short visit
Most had done this walk before so it has a familiar feel
to it
It was also nice to see Steve and Lynn again
We managed a good pace due to the overcast sky
And arrived at our picnic site a little early
But everyone was more than ready to eat
The sun made an appearance as we had our lunch
However we were soon on our way again
However it did made the return journey very pleasant
This impressive “honesty box” selling home made soap
received some interest
A lovely day and a fitting end to our 2018 walking season
