Ten of us today, should have been 12 but two did not turn
up
This is the first time I have led this walk
I have done it a few times, and did a recce in February
As expected I did not have any problems finding the route
Tanya walked with us for the first time
She has recently moved to Spain and does not know the
area at all
Jan experimented with the camera on her new mobile phone
Once more we were very lucky with the weather
On such a warm day it would be easy to forget it is
almost mid-December
I was impressed that more than half the group went
straight to Tarbena
We met the rest in Parcent
Most had not done this walk before
But all were impressed with what a beautiful area this is
All were well pleased to arrive at our picnic area
Which has particularly attractive views
Followed by a downhill stroll with all around views
To the mirador on the Castells to Tarbena road
Where they now have a “children’s” play area
Good track back to Tarbena which allowed us to enjoy the
scenery
How lucky we are to live in such a great walking area
There are
more photographs of the walk in the video slideshow.
