Ten
of us finally managed to do this walk
We
have cancelled it three times this year due to bad weather
Despite a cold start we soon had ideal walking conditions
There was a lot of muttering about the cold as we left Lleus
But
by the time we reached the top of the climb everyone was warmed up
The
clear blue sky showed the scenery off to perfection
And
the gorge was a sun trap for our banana stop
The
rock formations really are very impressive
Though
part of the track has become very overgrown since our last visit
We
also followed a new track to reduce the amount of hill climb to Pinos
But
we still had to climb the last section
Everyone
was ready for lunch when we reached Pinos Ermita
The
return to Lleus is mostly downhill
And
views of Bernia are replaced by views of Calpe and Olta
Alan
lost his walking stick but found it on the way back
An
excellent walk which everyone enjoyed
Perhaps
all the more so for having had it cancelled three times
