30 April 2018 – Pinos Fossil Walk

Only six of us today
However the blue sky raised our spirits as we started the walk
David takes a photo of a fossil he found today
Though I have my doubts that it might be one he brought with him
We had a longer than usual banana stop because it was so pleasant sitting in the sun
David could not resist adding to this particularly well positioned cairn
This part of the walk is downhill on a good track allowing us to admire the view
David and Jan had both brought applies (already cut) for the donkeys.  But the larger one was determined to have both for himself
Next came the junction where we often take the wrong track, but David found the correct one today
We were fortunate to get back to the cars just before the rain started
Walk Stats
Distance – 8 km
Time Taken – 4.5 hours
Total Ascent – 340 metres
Total Steps - 10900
