1 November 2018 – Jalon to Parcent

We had planned to do Bolulla Castle today, but a forecast of 40% chance of rain all day changed our mind
So we changed it for our old reliable wet weather programme, Jalon to Parcent
On this walk if it does rain we are never far from some sort of shelter
Usually most opt out when there is a change of walk
So we were very impressed when there were thirteen of us at the start outside the tourist information centre
This despite a heavy Halloween Night out for some of the group
We were particularly pleased to welcome David and Sabine who have not walked with us for a few months
We did our usual walk, but in reverse
Which allowed us to have our picnic lunch just outside Parcent
Despite the weather forecast the day was sunny and warm out of the cold breeze
Unlike Monday, it was not long before jackets were removed
Our second stop was at Alcalali
We did not stop long because the sun disappeared and the wind was quite cold
Though we soon warmed up when we started walking again
Although it started to cloud over on the final leg to Jalon, there was no sign of any rain
We enjoyed the walk all the more because we had expected so much less
This was a good reminder to take note of the weather forecast, but not to cancel a walk because of it
There are more photographs of the walk in the video slideshow.
