5 November 2018 – Benimeli Aerials

Despite a weather forecast of rain all day there were ten of us walking today
It was dry, but overcast , as we left Benimeli
The steep climb out of the village soon warmed everyone up
My main concern was to get to our picnic site before the rain arrived
So we set a good pace, but had sufficient stops to recover
The path is a little eroded in parts, and David was always available to lend a hand
It was too cold to stop for long at our banana break
But we did have a couple of short breaks during the climb
The approaching rain clouds kept us moving
And everyone reached the top without any problem
It was dry when we reached our lunch location, though cold enough for jackets
We could see the weather closing in, so we had a short lunch break
We could see rain clouds all around, but it remained dry for most of the return journey

We were about 15 minutes from the village when the rain started
It was light rain, but we put on our waterproofs just in case
We reached the village before we got too wet, but found both bars closed
Fortunately Bar Tormos was open, and we got there just as the rain increased in volume

There are more photographs of the walk in the video slideshow.
Click below and turn the volume up
