Ten
of us today
This
included Mike and Elaine who also walked with us on Monday
Jan
forgot to bring an apple for the donkeys
Fortunately
Elaine shared her lunch apple with them
Colin
put his walking stick down to cut it for her, then left it behind when we set
off again
I
soon realised that I had loaded the wrong route on my satnav
But
I felt (fairly) confident that I could find the way without it
We
reached the well situated banana stop with no problems
Not
so easy to find the next junction, but managed ok
Then the long climb up to Bar Refugio
Fortunately
we had a cool breeze for this section
I
had wondered whether we would be able to take a break outside the newly opened
bar
But
we sat away from the tables and no one seemed to mind
And
we could still enjoy the wonderful view
Then
along the road to the Bernia parking area
And
lunch at the font
Where
we had the company of two very friendly and playful dogs
The
next junction was the one where we had problems on the recce, and I missed it
again today
But
I soon picked up the route again and was relieved to reach the abandoned finca
Another
very enjoyable walk, though it is getting pretty hot now
