12 November 2018 – Cocoll

Eleven of us for one of our longer walks
Last time we did this walk was on a very cold and windy day in January
It was so cold that five of the group turned back at the banana stop
So we did not have very positive memories of the walk
This was also the first time I have led this walk, though it was recorded on my satnav
I need not have worried
The morning was bright and sunny, with a cool breeze
Long before the banana stop we had removed top layers
Everyone was still present as we left the banana stop
Everyone reached the airfield without any problem
We did a linear walk because I wanted to confirm the route before tackling the extension
The walk was uneventful until near the end
When David was attacked by a snake!
Or at least so both he and Mike claimed
He was not injured, nor did he receive the sympathy which might be expected
There was much discussion about the size of the snake, which will no doubt increase with future retelling of the incident

There are more photographs of the walk in the video slideshow.
