3 December 2018 – Denia to Javea Windmills

We usually have smaller walking groups at this time of year
But today there were seventeen of us
This included five new walkers to the group
Jo, who walked with us last week, brought her husband Mike…
….and also their friend Raymond
Steve and Miren also walked us for the first time
Richard and Brenda were on a flying visit and also joined us….
We try to avoid so many new members on a walk
But we were pleasantly surprised how well everyone got on together
It helped that we have a lovely warm and sunny morning
At 17km and six hours this is one of our longer walks
So it helps if we can have regular stops
The first was at the abandoned urbanisation…

… where the newcomers had a guided tour of the empty buildings….
… and the rest made the best of the warm weather to do stretch out and enjoy the rays
Lunch was at the Windmills overlooking Javea
A final stop at the Tower overlooking Denia
Then a well deserved drink at a bar half way back to the cars

There are more photographs of the walk in the video slideshow.
